Athlete
Dmitri Poliaroush is a six-time World Trampoline Champion, seven-time European Champion, and 20 time World Cup winner. He competed at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, finishing fifth and fourth respectively. He was the first man to perform a “Double Full In – Double Full Out” on trampoline, known as the Poliaroush.
Coach
Poliaroush moved to the United States in 1998, to start his coaching career in Lafayette, LA - a place known for producing world trampoline champions. He was recruited by Tara Guidry, local coach and gym owner of Trampoline and Tumbling Express. His first athletes qualified for the Olympic Games starting in 2008, and he has produced an Olympian for every Summer Games since. He currently holds the distinction of being the only person who has been an Olympic Athlete and an Olympic Coach. He has been awarded USA Gymnastics Trampoline Coach of the Year in 2002, 2003, 2008, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 named USA Olympic Coach; and the Head Trampoline Coach for multiple World Championships, World Cups, and the Pan-American Games.
Leader
His interest doesn't stop at coaching. He also serves on the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Trampoline Technical Committee, serving as the Vice President since 2017. He has judged all over the world with his FIG Category 1 Brevet rating. He continuously participates in competitions and clinics (for both athletes and coaches) around the world, contributing to the growth of the sport.
